Each Global Savvy course is preceded by an assessment of the participants. The course is then designed to fit the specific parameters and needs of the group. The highly interactive delivery is provided by recognized experts in their fields. Working Effectively with India

The focus of this skill-building course is on working successfully with outsource partners or development centers in India. Topics cover how to interact more effectively with India, the Indian's professional expectations with us, appropriate strategies for ensuring clear global communication, and the impact of culture on business relationships.

Working Effectively with China/Asia

Interacting in a culturally appropriate manner with Asian clients, partners and colleagues is critical for success in one of the world's most dynamic markets. The focus of this course is on working successfully with the professional expectations, meeting and presentation styles, and business customs of a changing Asia. Managing Virtually: What Works

With increasing frequency, managers have direct reports who are regionally or globally dispersed. They have all the challenges of managing in general plus specific remote issues: communication at a distance, time zones obstacles, travel budget restrictions, subtle cultural issues, isolated team members, and limited face time.

In this interactive course, managers will be given specific tools and strategies that enable them to more effectively manage at a distance. Participants will learn best practices from successful remote managers. Topics include how to build trust on a dispersed team and with remote employees, coach at a distance, use communication methods and tools which really work virtually, sustain morale and create visibility opportunities for remote employees. Participants will leave class with strategies and updated skills can be immediately implemented.

Virtual Teams That Work

Teams that work together at the same location face challenges in their day-to-day interactions. A team with remote or telecommuting members makes for an even tougher situation. Time zones, lack of face-to -face interaction, conflicting priorities, travel budget restrictions, and cultural differences all impede effectiveness. Team members complain of isolation, e-mail going into a black hole, headquarters vs. non-headquarters tension, and recurrent miscommunication, all of which leads to further challenges and missed deadlines.

This customized, interactive workshop develops the skills and knowledge needed for building successful remote teams. Topics include how to communicate critical information clearly, use new technology to improve efficiency, avoid typical pitfalls of remote team, build trust on the telephone, handle global challenges, avoid cultural misunderstandings or offending others and accomplish time-driven goals at a distance.
